Sylvania, the Smart Home branch for Osram, are due to release their first in wall switch in May 2018. As with many of their other recent offerings, this new product will be HomeKit compatible out of the box, with no hub required (unless you want to create automations or need remote access). The switch communicates via Bluetooth as opposed to wifi, like Elgato Eve products, which could be a limitation for some. As it’s an in wall switch, it will need to be hardwired to your mains electricity, as opposed to something like the Hue Dimmer Switch, which is battery operated.
It looks as though come the release date, the pricing is around US$45, although this could change. Amazon.com have it available for pre-order now.
