Casablanca Aya, the first HomeKit outdoor ceiling fan now available

Casablanca Fan Company (a division of Hunter Fan) has released their Aya ceiling fan, which will, for the first time, allow for HomeKit users to add an outdoor-rated ceiling fan to their homes. The 54″ Aya fan is unique in design, as its two blades seemingly “wrap” around the DC motor housing and light on the unit, definitely making it a conversational piece.

The fan is listed as having two different color options, a white version with “ash” wood look blades, as well as a black version, but currently, only the white version is available. The fan also features an integrated 18 watt LED dimmable light, making it work right out of the box, as well as a wall mountable remote control. Casablanca also provides a lifetime warranty with the fan, as well as an ETL Damp rating, which allows it to be used in sunrooms, covered porches and patios, along with rust resistant hardware, making it ideal for those worrying about just how well it will fare in an outdoor environment.
