You can use TRÅDFRI control outlet to connect a coffee maker or other small appliances to the app and TRÅDFRI gateway so that the appliance can be turned on or off with the app’s timer.

I’ve just got two of these for myself, and I’m sorry to say, but design is RUBBISH! I adore IKEA and their style, so for me its a hard confession, but .. regardless inability to work with Homekit temporarily, it features a very inconvenient body shape, when all other sockets around it are getting blocked by its bulkiness…. I hoped, that I was able to be turned around socket or down, at least, so than it would allow to use possible sockets around it, but no… left side is blocking other socket completely and three other sides can only be used for smallest regular plug, nothing bigger…
Agree, it’s not the prettiest smart plug at all and much larger than it could be.
