WeMo Introduce New HomeKit Switch at CES 2019

As first reported on macrumors, Wemo (from parent company Belkin) are introducing a couple of new light switches, both of which will be HomeKit compatible out of the box. This follows on from the Wemo Mini Switch and Wemo Dimmer, which gained HomeKit support retroactively using Apple’s Software Authentication protocol, which also meant that less devices now need to use the Wemo hub.

These switches will offer single-pole and 3-way functionality, for those that have more than one switch controlling a set of lights. While this is relatively rare for HomeKit switches, there is already one company in Taiwan that is releasing a similar device with the same functionality.
