Eufy Indoor Security Cameras Now Available For Preorder

A little less than a month after Eufy ran a competition via social media, for their followers to win one of their new indoor security cameras, the company have now officially launched both devices for pre-ordering via the Eufy Security app, and their online store. Shipping is estimated to be the end of May.

As can be gleaned from the names of both devices, they’re designed for indoor use, are capable of 2K recording, and of course, both come as HomeKit compatible. Neither cameras will arrive with HomeKit Secure Video (HSV) in place, although they’re rumoured to be in the process of certification with this functionality.

The Indoor cam 2K is priced at a shockingly low US$39.99, whilst the Pan & Tilt 2K model is a mere US$10 more, still at a very competitive US$49.99.

Both cameras will have the ability to add customised activity zones, so certain areas in the cameras’ field of view can be excluded. Advanced motion detection features (both via the Eufy Security app), audio detection, two-way audio, human and pet detection, and the ability to record to an SD card that can be plugged into the camera, via an SD card slot. Both cameras use WiFi for connectivity, and so unlike their outdoor cameras, there’s no requirement for a base station.

The cameras will also most likely be available on Amazon.com when they’re released, although they’re currently only available for preorder on the Eufy website. However, the cameras will only be shipping within the USA at this time.

  • What about delivery to Australia?

    • They’re only shipping to US destinations at present. Hopefully more parts of the world will follow on later in the year.

  • Appears limit 1 discount per order. I may spring for one, but would like to have seen more details about HomeKit aspects.

    • Did you place an order? Apparently someone else had the same issue but it seems to be fixed now.

      • I did, I ordered the Indoor Cam 2K Pan & Tilt, figure at the price I can’t really lose, if nothing else I’ll put it out in the garage. Glad they fixed the multiple order issue.

      • I wanted to let you know that you defiantly have to place multiple orders to get the discounts. The website has been updated with this text:
        Enter Promo Code (Optional)
One promo code per order. Offers cannot be combined.

        • Thanks for the update Alex. Hopefully this will help anyone else who’s having issues.

        • It looks like they’ve now updated the site to offer the two cameras together as a special bundle with a new 30% discount code. They also added the specs for the cameras.

          • Thanks, nice to see some specs. Seems odd they didn’t anticipate people ordering 1 of each.

          • Yes, I think they underestimated interest in these cameras, as well as the possibility of people ordering more than one simply due to the price.

  • Do you have Amazon store preorder link?

    • It’s not available on Amazon, just direct on eufylife.com

      • Apologies, you’re correct. I’ve updated the article.

    • Eufy offer cloud storage options for their 2 and 2C camera systems, so I believe put will be able to do the same with the indoor cameras, although if you’re using them with Apple HomeKit, you can use the free HomeKit Secure Video feature when it comes to these cameras. You just need a suitable iCloud account. As for two-way, both cameras have this facility.
