Meross Adds HomeKit Compatibility to Garage Opener

As first spotted by r/HomeKit Reddit user u/faisalthe01, Meross continue to rapidly expand their portfolio of HomeKit product line, with the addition of their Garage Door Opener. Prior to this update, this product, the Smart WiFi Garage Door Opener (model MSG100), was, like many of their products, only compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and IFTTT. The updated model – MSG100HK has added our favourite Smart Home automation system, which now brings another budget-priced product to HomeKit users.

While the company have it listed on their site, along with a ‘Buy Now’ button for US customers, it would appear it’s not actually available yet, although that could well change very soon. There’s also no pricing as of yet, but considering the low prices of other products in the Meross range, we’re going to hazard a guess that it’ll be quite low. The current non-HomeKit model is only US$39.99, so it’s fair to assume the HomeKit model will only be a little more expensive. According to the company, the MSG100HK is “compatible with almost all garage door openers on the market”.

  • Heyyy thanks for credit. I was waiting for it for a while now, they told me 4 months ago that they are working on it and will be released in 3 months and will be available around the world

    • Hi, no problem at all. I’ll always try and give credit where it’s due.
