SwitchBot Humidifier to Gain Full Matter 1.4 Update
Last year, SwitchBot released its first evaporative humidifier. Although it initially lacked native Matter support, compatibility was made possible through one of the company’s Matter bridges. Now, SwitchBot has announced that the humidifier will receive full Matter 1.4 support natively, with no hub required, thanks to its built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
This humidifier stands out not just for maintaining comfortable humidity levels, especially during the drier winter months, but also for its ability to work with the SwitchBot S10 robot vacuum for automatic refills. With native Matter 1.4 support, it offers a more seamless smart home experience without the need for an additional hub, although with a hub you do get access to Switchbot’s own automation and scene options via the Switchbot app.
