Aqara Unveils New Devices Ahead of IFA 2025

Aqara will present its latest smart home products at IFA 2025, focusing on security, comfort, and energy efficiency through the use of sensors and AI.

The new products include the Doorbell Camera G400 (Wired), the Radiator Thermostat W600, the H2 series of wall outlets and smart plugs for the EU and UK, and the Hub M200. Aqara will also show updates to its Aqara Home platform and HomeGuardian cloud services at Booth 155, Hall 1.2, Messe Berlin.

HOME SECURITY

The Doorbell Camera G400 (Wired) provides continuous surveillance at the front door. It is IP65-rated, powered by PoE or low-voltage supply (8-24V AC/DC), and includes a 2K sensor with head-to-toe view. It supports cloud AI detection for faces, packages, vehicles, and animals, alongside on-device motion and person detection. The G400 works with Apple Home (including HomeKit Secure Video), Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and Home Assistant (via RTSP), with options for cloud or local storage.

Two prototypes will also be displayed:

  • Camera G510 (Battery), Aqara’s first battery-powered outdoor camera, has a solar panel, 10,400 mAh battery, 2.5K resolution (2560×1440), colour night vision, and on-device AI for person, vehicle, and package detection.
  • Home Station M410, an IoT hub for security, extends the range and battery life of Aqara cameras and offers high-capacity local storage with HDD, SSD, or microSD expansion. It also serves as a Matter hub for Aqara and third-party Matter devices.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The Radiator Thermostat W600 supports Thread and Zigbee, offering smart scheduling and automation with extended 2-year battery life. It works with RA, RAV, RAVL, Caleffi, Giacomini, and M28×1.5 valves.

The H2 series expands to the EU and UK, including the Wall Outlet H2 UK with USB-C fast charging, Power Plug H2 (EU and UK), and the IP44 Outdoor Plug H2 EU. A prototype Power Strip H2 EU will also be shown. These support Thread/Zigbee, are Matter-compatible, and provide power monitoring for energy-based automation in Aqara Home.

MATTER HUB

The Hub M200 works as a Matter Controller, Thread Border Router, Matter bridge for Aqara Zigbee devices, and 360° IR blaster. With support for Thread, Zigbee, dual-band Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and infrared, it links Aqara devices, IR products, and over 50 Matter-enabled devices in one system.

AQARA HOME AND HOMEGUARDIAN UPDATES

Updates to Aqara Home include:

  • Soft Sensor: a virtual sensor that uses data from existing devices and AI to detect occupancy more accurately.
  • Automation 2.0: supports WHEN-IF-THEN logic and batch control of multiple devices.
  • Local App Control: with hubs such as Hub M3, Aqara Home can manage devices via LAN even without internet access, improving responsiveness.

Updates to HomeGuardian include:

  • Cloud AI Detection: expands recognition to faces, packages, animals, vehicles, and flames.
  • AI Video Summary and Search: powered by Vision-Language Models for video analysis and natural language queries.
  • Rich Notifications: push alerts with snapshot images for faster assessment.
