SwitchBot Launches Two New Robot Vacs – with Matter 1.4
After an initial soft launch in Japan, SwitchBot has announced the international release of two new additions to its cleaning robot range: the SwitchBot Floor Cleaning Robot S20 and the Robot Vacuum K11+, both with Matter 1.4 support, meaning you now get access to section cleaning in Apple Home. The new models follow on from previous iterations that are designed to make home cleaning simpler and more accessible, with options suited to both larger households and smaller flats.
SWITCHBOT FLOOR CLEANING ROBOT S20
Building on the success of its predecessor (the S10), the Floor Cleaning Robot S20 adds updates to power and functionality. The RinseSync™ roller mop system rinses the mop continuously during use, ensuring it always cleans with fresh water. A rubber anti-tangle brush and V-shaped side brush help prevent hair or debris from becoming caught. With suction power of 10,000Pa (a 54% upgrade from 6,500Pa in the S10), and AI-based obstacle avoidance, the S20 is designed for mixed surfaces such as wood, tiles, and carpets.
The MultiClean Base Station is available in two versions. The water tank edition has a 2.7L clean water tank and a 2.5L dirty water tank, while the auto-fill and drain edition connects directly to household plumbing for automatic refilling and emptying. Both versions empty dust for up to 90 days and use 50°C hot air to dry the mop, helping prevent odours and bacteria.
The S20 also integrates with the wider SwitchBot ecosystem and can refill the SwitchBot Evaporative Humidifier. With Matter 1.4 compatibility, it can be used across major platforms, including Apple Home, where it supports section cleaning.
SWITCHBOT ROBOT VACUUM K11+
Like its predecessors, the K10+ and the K10+ Pro (review HERE, video HERE) the K11+ is still the world’s smallest robot vacuum, combining a compact design with enhanced power. At 24.8cm wide and 9.2cm high, it can reach under low furniture and fit into spaces where larger robots cannot. The base station is where the size decreases have taken place, with a 28.8% reduction in the overall size, taking up less space than an A4 sheet of paper, but still holds up to 90 days of dust in a 4L antibacterial bag.
Despite its size, the K11+ provides 6,000Pa suction power (double the K10+ Pro), an anti-tangle rubber brush with a V-shaped side brush, and 360° LiDAR navigation with PSD sensors for accurate mapping and obstacle avoidance. Operating noise is as low as 45dB in Quiet Mode, making it suitable for use during the night or while working from home. With Matter 1.4-over-WiFi integration, the K11+ supports section cleaning in Apple Home and works within the SwitchBot ecosystem.
