Aurzen Release Budget AirPlay-Compatible Projector w/ Roku TV
Aurzen has announced the launch of the EAZZE D1R Roku TV Smart Projector, a 1080p Full HD model with Roku TV built in. The projector combines integrated streaming, smart-home compatibility (AirPlay via Apple Home), and Dolby Audio in an affordable package. It follows the earlier D1R Cube projector, offering a similar price with several refinements.
The original D1R Cube marked Roku’s first appearance in a projector, providing 1080p resolution, Dolby Audio, and automatic focus and keystone correction for, currently available on amazon.com for US$179.99 (reg. price US$249.99). The new EAZZE D1R retains those features while adding wider smart-home integration – specifically Apple AirPlay – and a price of US$149.99 (when using the US$50 coupon). These updates should make the model more appealing to Apple Home users in particular.
Unlike many smart projectors that rely on external streaming dongles or use other platforms such as Google TV, the EAZZE D1R includes Roku TV natively. This allows direct access to major services like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, and Apple TV (formerly Apple TV+) as well as hundreds of free and paid channels through Roku’s own interface.
The projector continues to offer 1080p Full HD output with screen sizes up to 150″ and features automatic focus and keystone correction. It includes dual 5W speakers with Dolby Audio, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and as previously mentioned, Apple AirPlay support. It is also compatible with Siri and Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home voice control – features not often seen at this price level. Apple Home functionality aside from AirPlay is likely restricted to simply turning the projector on or off, however.
While the EAZZE D1R does not provide native 4K and its 330 ANSI-lumen brightness limits it to darker viewing conditions, it is arguably a practical option for film nights or indoor use. With built-in streaming, and smart-home integration, it presents an appealing all-in-one choice for budget-conscious buyers.
