Arylic Announces High End AirPlay 2 Streamer LP100
Arylic has announced their LP100 HiFi Music Streamer designed to modernise traditional Hi-Fi systems by adding support for current streaming protocols, a broad range of inputs/outputs, and perhaps most importantly for our readers, Apple Home compatibility via AirPlay 2. It is designed to work with legacy amplifiers or passive speakers, offering both wireless and wired connectivity for flexible integration.
FEATURES
- Streaming & Connectivity: AirPlay 2, GoogleCast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect – with ‘Roon Ready’ listed as ‘coming soon’ via OTA. The LP100 also supports Bluetooth 5.4 (RX & TX) with codecs including LDAC, aptX / aptX HD / aptX LL / aptX AD, AAC, SBC, LC3 and Auracast.
- Audio Quality: Built-in DAC (AKM AK4493) plus signal-processing chain (SRC / ADC / DSP), enabling 24-bit / 192 kHz playback.
- Inputs & Outputs: Offers USB (for file playback or as a PC DAC), HDMI eARC, optical/coaxial digital, RCA line-in, and phono input – making it capable of handling vinyl, digital sources, USB-stored music, or TV audio. Outputs include RCA line-out, optional speaker-level output (banana-plug), optical out, and subwoofer out.
- Flexibility: Because of the broad connectivity and codec support, LP100 can serve as a hub for streaming services, local music libraries (USB), vinyl playback, and even TV audio – all feeding a single amplifier / speaker setup.
The LP100 is clearly targeted at users who already own traditional (usually high end) audio gear but want to bring it into the modern streaming era – without replacing speakers or amplifiers. Like its smaller sibling the Arylic LP10 (review HERE, video HERE) its support for AirPlay 2 and GoogleCast makes it possible to integrate into Apple or Google–centric smart homes. The broad input/output selection means legacy sources (turntables, CD players, wired digital sources) and new streaming sources (Spotify, Tidal, local files) can coexist in one system.
For someone familiar with smart-home ecosystems and likely to mix older audio gear with modern automation – the LP100 offers a flexible ‘bridge’ device that can unify multiple sources under one control framework – in this case AirPlay 2.
Two things to bear in mind:
- Even though the LP100 includes a full DAC and supports high-resolution audio, sound quality in real-world use will still depend heavily on downstream equipment (amplifier quality, speaker sensitivity, room acoustics). As with any streamer, a good DAC/amp combo and quality speakers remain important.
- The ‘Roon Ready’ status is not yet active – it’s promised via an OTA update. Users who rely on automated music-library management or endpoints may need to wait before using LP100 in those workflows.
The Arylic LP100 is available to order now directly from Arylic, for US$399.00.
