Tapo H110 Matter IR Blaster and Hub Now Available in US
Tapo, the smart home brand from TP-Link, has released its long-awaited Matter-compatible IR blaster in the USA, the Tapo H110 Smart IR & IoT Hub, expanding its growing line of Matter-enabled accessories.
Last year the device was released in multiple markets, but was notably absent in the US. Now it has brought universal infrared control into mainstream smart home setups in arguably the country with the largest smart home user base. The H110 is now on sale on Amazon.com for just US$29.99.
The H110 acts as both a smart IR blaster and a Matter-certified hub, allowing you to control traditional IR-based appliances – such as air conditioners, TVs, fans and more – from your Matter ecosystem, including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and other supported platforms.
Unlike traditional IR remotes that work only within a single brand environment, the H110 exposes IR-controlled devices into Matter, enabling cross-platform automation and deeper integration. In Apple Home, for example, an air conditioner connected through the H110 can be controlled alongside other smart devices.
In addition to its IR capabilities, the H110 also functions as a Sub-1GHz hub for Tapo sensors and other compatible devices, enabling broader automation scenarios within the Tapo ecosystem.
