Nework Launches MoveMate Hi-Fi Portable TV with AirPlay, MiraCast
Nework, a name unknown to us, has announced the launch of the MoveMate Hi-Fi Portable TV, a new model in its MoveMate range that places a stronger emphasis on audio performance and premium viewing. The device was officially released on 12 January and is now available via Nework’s website and its Amazon store.
The MoveMate Hi-Fi sits alongside the earlier MoveMate AI model, which focuses on general-purpose use and extended battery life. In contrast, the Hi-Fi version is aimed at users seeking improved sound quality and a more cinema-style experience from a mobile display, including home cinema enthusiasts, remote workers, and content creators.
Audio is the primary area of differentiation. The MoveMate Hi-Fi features a 44-watt speaker system comprising four drivers and an integrated subwoofer. The layout includes a 20-watt bass unit, a 20-watt mid-range driver, and two 1-watt tweeters, positioned around the screen, in the base, and at the top of the stand. According to the company, this configuration is designed to deliver greater depth, clearer dialogue, and a wider soundstage than is typical for portable televisions.
The display is a 27-inch Full HD capacitive touch panel with support for rotation, tilt, swivel, and height adjustment. An eye-care mode is included to reduce visual strain during extended use. The adjustable stand allows the screen to be positioned for different scenarios, including video and audio streaming via Apple AirPlay and MiraCast, with built-in DLNA functionality, video calls, presentations, and general desktop-style use.
Mobility is provided via five integrated, low-noise casters, allowing the unit to be moved between rooms. A built-in battery offers up to eight hours of operation away from mains power, enabling use in living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices without a fixed installation.
On the software side, the MoveMate Hi-Fi runs Android 14 on an octa-core processor, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Google EDLA certification provides access to the Google Play Store, while Google Gemini voice control enables hands-free operation. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless networking and peripheral support.
For video communication, the device includes a built-in HD camera and dual microphones. A physical privacy shutter and a dedicated microphone mute button are provided for security and privacy during calls and recordings.
Nework says the new model builds on the commercial performance of the earlier MoveMate AI Portable TV, which sold out shortly after its initial release and saw continued demand following restocking. The MoveMate Hi-Fi is positioned as a higher-end option within the range, targeting users who want a single, movable screen that combines smart TV functions, conferencing hardware, and enhanced audio in one unit.
You can purchase the MoveMate Hi-Fi Portable TV from Amazon.com for US$899.99, which for a 1080p screen is a little steep, although as it’s mobile, and has a touch screen plus a built-in AI voice assistant, it does differentiate itself from standard screens.
