Switchbot Launches and ‘All Wood’ Version of it’s Matter Air Purifier
If you ever got tired of white smart home appliances like hubs, dehumidifiers or specifically air purifiers, then a new version of Switchbot’s Air Purifier Table might be what you’re looking for. The company’s Air Purifier table has been out for around a year now, and comes in two versions, the aforementioned table version, and a standard model – that also includes a sort of top surface.
However, Switchbot has now launch a new version of the table model that not only has a wood like table top, but the whole unit is covered in a wood-like finish. This includes the removable grille to access the filter, the main body, and even the top air vent and the area where the buttons reside.
The new model is exactly the same as the standard white version, which features a table top with a built-in Qi charger, an ambient night light with adjustable brightness and colour, as well as physical buttons for controlling all aspects of the device.
All models are compatible with Matter and use Matter over WiFi, although you can also connect them to a Switchbot Hub too.
The Air Purifier has a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 236 CFM (400 m³/h), making it designed specifically (but not exclusively) for larger spaces. Its filtration system – comprising pre-filters, activated carbon, and HEPA filters – removes 99.97% of airborne particles, (actually standard for most air purifiers these days), including allergens, pet dander, and bacteria. Designed with pet owners in mind, it eliminates 93.45% of pet hair, neutralises 98.18% of odours within 30 minutes, and filters 99.01% of cat allergens and 99.99% of bacteria.
