JL Audio Launches Primacy CS Home Stereo Controller With AirPlay 2
Garmin-owned JL Audio has announced the new JL Audio Primacy CS, a premium home stereo controller designed to serve as the central hub for the company’s Primacy home audio ecosystem. The device combines high-resolution audio support, streaming functionality, room optimisation, and multi-source audio management in a package aimed primarily at custom installation and high-end residential audio systems.
One of the more relevant features for Apple users is built-in AirPlay support, allowing audio to be streamed directly from Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This should make the Primacy CS particularly appealing for households already invested in the Apple ecosystem, offering a more seamless way to integrate music streaming into a whole-home or dedicated listening setup. It also supports Google Cast, the replacement for Chromecast, as well as direct streaming connections for Spotify, Qobuz, Tidal, and Roon, in addition to Bluetooth connectivity.
The inclusion of AirPlay functionality also means users can stream audio from services such as Apple Music, as well as other compatible apps, directly to the Primacy system without relying solely on proprietary software platforms. For many users, AirPlay remains one of the simplest and most reliable wireless audio solutions, especially in homes already using Apple hardware.
At the heart of the system is the Primacy CS controller itself, which is designed to manage connected audio sources, playback control, and audio distribution throughout the home.
