First Third Reality Thread Devices to Debut at IFA 2026
THIRDREALITY will have its own booth at IFA for the first time this year, with the company set to showcase a range of new Matter over Thread and Zigbee products, alongside a smart care system aimed at supporting older people living independently.
The company will be exhibiting at Hall H1.2, Booth 100 at Messe Berlin from 4-8 September, with its new Matter over Thread range forming a significant part of its smart home offering.
Four new products have been confirmed for the range: the Smart Soil Moisture Sensor, Smart Button, Smart Plug, and Smart Bulb. Between them, the devices cover plant monitoring, automation and scene control, energy monitoring, and smart lighting. As Matter devices, they are also intended to work across the major compatible smart home platforms rather than being tied to a single ecosystem.
THIRDREALITY is also expanding its existing Zigbee range with a more complete home security system. This will include a Siren, Keypad, Motion Sensor, and Door Sensor, allowing users to monitor doors and other entry points, detect movement, and activate audible alerts.
Alongside its more conventional smart home products, THIRDREALITY will introduce ThirdStage HelpLink Smart Care, a modular system designed to help older people live independently while remaining connected to family members or carers.
The basic HelpLink system consists of a speaker hub, emergency buttons, and an accompanying family app. Users can request assistance either by voice or by pressing a button. Additional modules can then be added for activity detection, room audio, air quality monitoring, bedside vital sign and sleep monitoring, and medication management.
THIRDREALITY says its new Matter over Thread and Zigbee products are due to launch during the second half of 2026. Pricing and specific availability have yet to be announced, while the company’s existing Zigbee products will continue to be supported.
