Nuki Introduces Two New Smart Locks For Europe

Nuki, the Austria-based smart lock manufacturer, is marking its 10th anniversary with the launch of two new products, with further promised innovations expected in 2025.

Back in November of 2024, Nuki introduced the Smart Lock Ultra, the company’s fastest, smallest, and most advanced electronic door lock to date. Now, they’re expanding its range once more. The fifth-generation Smart Lock Pro incorporates the technologies developed for the Smart Lock Ultra into a fully retrofittable solution, eliminating the need for a cylinder change. In November, Nuki had already signalled its intention to release a product for users who prefer to retain their existing cylinders.

Visually, the main difference between the Ultra and Pro models is that the Smart Lock Pro is 12mm longer. This ensures compatibility with a wider range of physical keys. Both locks are three times faster than previous generations while being a third of the size. Users can choose from three speed modes: ‘Insane’ (locks or unlocks in under 1.5 seconds), ‘Standard’ (two seconds), and ‘Gentle’ (quieter operation at a lower speed, with double locking). The Pro and Ultra share the same aesthetic and charging technology, featuring Nuki’s LED ring, a choice of black or white, and a stainless steel finish. Both are powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, providing months of use per charge, with a two-hour recharge time via a magnetic charging port and a two-metre cable.

Nuki is also introducing the Smart Lock Go, offering the core features of previous generations with updated technology. Unlike the Pro and Ultra, the Go model has a fourth-generation design without a stainless steel body. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Matter over Thread connectivity.

The Smart Lock Go, like the Pro and Ultra, includes a new data migration feature for easy transfer of device settings and access permissions within the app. Full remote access can be unlocked with a one-off payment of €49. The included alkaline batteries can be replaced with a rechargeable Nuki Power Pack (€49).

With the launch of the Go, Pro, and Ultra models, Nuki’s latest range is now complete.

  • The Smart Lock Go is aimed at budget-conscious customers and holiday rental owners looking to automate key handovers.
  • The Smart Lock Pro is designed for those who prioritise quality, design, and advanced technology.
  • The Smart Lock Ultra, bundled with the Universal Cylinder, is intended for users who need to replace their cylinders for compatibility.

The Smart Lock Go (€149), Pro (€269), and Ultra (including Universal Cylinder, €349) are available via the Nuki Shop.
