What’s the cost of the battery operated version of this and is it available for purchase? I can’t find it on Amazon. And is it more reliable than their previous HomeKit smoke alarm? That one had terrible reviews.
Hi George, it would seem that First Alert have updated this model with a newer design and new model number, so this one is no longer available. We’ll adjust our listing accordingly. I can’t tell you what it’s like, not having one, but regarding where to buy their products, it seems some models, including the updated version of this particular model, are actually not currently available either via their site, or via 3rd party resellers.
