Yeelight LED LightStrip 1S, With Razer Chroma Integration

The new Yeelight LED Lightstrip 1S is what you might call an incremental update, as the lumen count has only increased by 20lm per metre from the previous gen, bringing it up to 200lm, or 400lm for the 2m strip. However, the updated version does come with its very own HomeKit code now, so there’s no need to use the Yeelight app to get it into HomeKit.

The other ‘Ace Card’ it has, that may or may not be of interest to some of our viewers, is compatibility with Razer Chroma. If you’re a PC gamer, then with the help of a couple of plugins for your computer, you can get the 1S strip (as well as the colour Smart LED bulb 1S) to work with Chroma compatible games, so the Yeelight devices change colour depending on what’s happening in the game. The amount of functionality depends on what the game developers have exposed to Chroma, but it certainly adds a little more interactivity to your gaming experience. That said, the experience and functionality are a little limited at this time.
