Aqara Reveals New Switches, Sensors, a New Doorbell, and More at CES
At CES 2025 today, Aqara introduced its latest range of smart home devices, which comes with a few interesting surprises included. Key products include in-wall control panels, smart switches, next-gen sensors for presence and climate monitoring, and an expanded selection of Matter Controllers.
In-Wall Control Panels
Aqara’s new in-wall control panels aim to simplify home automation with intuitive interfaces. These include:
- Panel Hub S1 Plus: Features a 6.9″ touchscreen, dual-band Wi-Fi, and support for controlling up to two wired lights. It doubles as a Zigbee hub and Matter bridge. More details can be found HERE.
The EU version will launch this month (a very similar version to the model that was released in China a while ago), with the North American version expected later this year.
- Touchscreen Dial V1: A rotary dial with a 1.32″ round touchscreen, enabling control of two wired lights and various smart devices.
The EU version will be released this month; the US version is expected later this year.
- Touchscreen Switch S100 US: Combines a 1.3″ touchscreen with two physical buttons for controlling wired and wireless devices. It includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Thread connectivity, and Matter support. This particular product seems to take a few design cues from the Orvibo Mixpad D1, which we reviewed a while back (video HERE, review HERE).
Smart Switches
Aqara expands its range of dual-protocol smart switches with Thread and Zigbee support:
- Light Switch H2: Available in multiple variants, offering compatibility with homes regardless of neutral wire availability. The EU version launches this month, and the US version is expected in Q1 2025.
- Dimmer Switch H2: Features similar flexibility and is expected to launch in Q1 2025 (EU) and later this year (US).
New Sensors and Matter Controllers
Aqara also introduces updates to its sensor and controller lineup:
- Presence Multi-Sensor FP300: A battery-operated sensor with PIR and mmWave technology for human detection, ambient sensing (light, temperature, and humidity), and Matter compatibility. More details can be found HERE.
- Climate Sensor W100: Monitors indoor temperature and humidity, with a display for secondary data and additional buttons for smart device control.
- Doorbell Camera Hub G410: Provides 2K video, a 176° field of view, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Thread support. Features include on-device facial recognition, presence detection, and flexible installation options. More details can be found HERE.
- Hub M100: A compact Matter Controller with Wi-Fi, Thread, and Zigbee support.
Really excited about the Matter support in the keypads and controllers. Hope they have early production runs for inspection on the floor tomorrow.
I wish I was there to be able to see them in person.
