Switchbot Announce Matter Enabled S20 Pro Robovacs
In addition to the world’s first multi-tasking household robot, the SwitchBot K20+ Pro, SwitchBot has also introduced the latest model in its robot vacuum series, the SwitchBot Floor Cleaning Robot S20 Pro. Building on the success of its predecessor, the S10, the S20 Pro enhances automated floor cleaning with a new and updated design along with more advanced functionality.
The S20 Pro is equipped with a dual anti-tangle design, featuring a single-sided main roller brush and a unique two-stripe side brush, which effectively prevent hair from tangling to ensure uninterrupted cleaning. Its RinseSync™ mop self-cleaning technology is designed to ensure that each mop stroke is performed with a clean roller mop. Combined with powerful 15,000 Pa suction, the SwitchBot S20 Pro should deliver even better floor-cleaning performance than any of its predecessors.
The SwitchBot S20 Pro features a dual-extension design, including an extendable side brush for cleaning tight corners and an extendable roller mop that effectively reaches wall edges. This ensures complete coverage, eliminating dead zones in even the hardest-to-reach areas.
The S20 Pro also includes an all-in-one base station, available in two configurations: one with a standard water tank and another featuring the auto refill and drain system. Both options offer deep cleaning, high-temperature mop drying, auto dust collection, and cleaning solution refilling for a thorough and convenient cleaning experience. Additionally, the main unit is compatible with the S10 water station and the SwitchBot Evaporative Humidifier.
As part of the SwitchBot ecosystem, the S20 Pro is Matter-certified and does NOT require a hub, allowing seamless integration with other smart devices. This is a significant departure for Switchbot, as all of its current Matter compatible devices have to go through their hubs to be exposed to Matter platforms. This is the case with their K10+ Pro robot vacuum, which despite not requiring a hub for connectivity (using 2.4GHz WiFi), still needs to connect to their hubs for exposure to Matter.
