Schlage Announces The Sense Pro With UWB Support
Lock experts Schlage, have announced the latest device added to their smart lock collection, the Schlage Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt.
The Schlage Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt features Matter-over-Thread compatibility and introduces Schlage’s latest in-house feature, ‘Schlage Converge technology’. This new feature leverages Ultra Wideband (UWB) and the user’s paired, authorised device (i.e a smart phone) to calculate speed, trajectory, and motion, enabling hands-free unlocking as the user approaches the door. UWB is the technology found in Apple’s own AirTags, as well newer iPhones, and devices from other companies.
Key features of the Schlage Sense Pro include:
- Hands-Free Unlocking – Automatically unlocks the door as the user reaches it.
- Multiple Access Options – Offers keypad access codes, tap-to-unlock/lock with NFC, and traditional key backup.
- Smart Home Integration – Compatible with Matter-enabled ecosystems.
Updated Schlage Home App
Accompanying these new locks is a redesigned Schlage Home app, available on iOS and Android in early 2025. The app offers a more streamlined interface for managing Schlage smart locks, including:
- At-a-Glance Home View – Monitor lock status and activity across all devices.
- One-Tap Control – Lock or unlock the entire home with a single button.
- Multi-Property Management – manage access across multiple properties from one screen.
The Schlage Sense Pro™ Smart Deadbolt and Schlage Arrive™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt will be available for purchase in mid-2025, alongside the updated Schlage Home app.
