Arylic to Release AirPlay 2 and Google Cast Streamer LP10

Arylic are rightly known for their innovative streaming audio devices, some of which we’ve reviewed on HomeKit News. Now, the company is preparing to launch its latest budget-friendly streaming device, the LP10, which features both AirPlay and Google Cast support.

This is the latest addition to Arylic’s extensive range of products, which includes streaming devices, amplifiers, pre-amps, transmitters, and more, catering to a variety of budgets. The LP10 is available for preorder at just US$99.00. While this price is comparable to, or even higher than, devices such as the HomePod mini, it offers considerable value. Key features include a wide array of connection options, on-device controls for play/pause, volume and track skipping, as well as a compact digital display.

If you have a home Hi-Fi system of any kind, this device – once connected via the appropriate cables – will significantly enhance its capabilities, allowing you to stream audio from your phone, iPad, TV, or computer. It also opens the door to basic smart home automations. Streaming can be achieved through Apple’s AirPlay system or Google Cast (formerly known as Chromecast).

The LP10 is an upgraded version of the company’s S10+ streamer, which we reviewed previously (video HERE, review HERE). While the S10+ impressed with its range of connection options at a price under US$70, its major limitation was support for only AirPlay 1. This meant that although you could stream audio to the S10+, it was not possible to synchronise playback with other AirPlay devices.

With the upcoming LP10, this limitation has been addressed. It now supports AirPlay 2 alongside its other features, including wired (Ethernet) and wireless (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz Wi-Fi) connectivity, a USB port for streaming audio from a memory stick, analogue stereo line in/out connections, and an optical digital output. Additionally, the LP10 can be powered via a USB-C port, which also allows it to stream audio directly from a computer whilst also being powered.

The package includes the LP10 unit itself, a jack-to-stereo phono cable, a stereo jack-to-jack cable, a USB-C to USB-C cable (for both data and power), a USB-C power adaptor, and a manual. The LP10 will be available to pre-order from Arylic’s official online store with shipping and the official release scheduled for mid-May this year.
