Govee Introduce Colour Outdoor Flood Lights With Matter

Govee are staking their claim to be the main Matter lighting specialists, with the release of another outdoor lighting product, following on from the outdoor wall light we reported on last week. On this occasion, they have announced the new ‘Govee Triad Flood light’ and no, this doesn’t have any connection to the infamous criminal gangs from Hong Kong!

It’s so named due to the connected trio of lights that make up the product. Each of the three lighting panels is capable of the standard range of 16 million colours, as well as cool to warm whites.

The total maximum output of these lights is an impressive 4500lm (when set to cool white, we assume), with a horizontal span of over 25 ft / 7.6 m, effectively covering an area of 430 sq ft /40 sq m.

Due to these being outdoor lights, they comes with an IP66 waterproof rating for the lights themselves, and IP67 for the control box that comes included. the adaptor is IP44 rated for outdoor use as well. The lighting unit is constructed from an aluminium alloy for rust resistance, and is able to withstand temperatures ranging from -4~110ºF / -20~43ºC.

With an estimated lifespan of 20,000hrs these should last a fairly long time with average usage.  The package comes complete with the lighting rig including stakes and tools to fix it to your lawn, a 24v 2A power adaptor, control box, accessories pack, user manual, and a service card.

As Govee are well known for providing a ton of  lighting scenes for their products, the Triad Flood light is no different, with up to 40 scenes – both animated or static, available via the company’s own app. However, these lights are also Matter (over Wifi) compatible, so they’ll work with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, and of course, Apple Home.

You can pick up the Triad Outdoor Flood Lights today for US$149.99 from Amazon.com.
