Senic Introduce New Hue Compatible ‘Click’

smart home brand Nuimo, created by Senic, a German company, have announced a new smart control device called the Nuimo Click. The Click is able to control Philips Hue smart lights as well as Sonos speakers.

Just like the Philips Hue Tap, the Nuimo Click generates its own energy every time someone click on the buttons, negating the need for batteries or recharging.

The Click has four buttons and once paired with Philips Hue lights, allows you to user to control their lights with one of the upper buttons, but also allows for light scenes to be assigned to the other top switch. The remaining two switches are used for adjusting brightness.

If you paired the Click with your Sonos speakers, the buttons on the bottom can be used to adjust volume, with the upper buttons being used for play/pause and selecting your favourite playlists.

You will require the Nuimo Hub to connect the device with Philips Hue or Sonos speakers but if you have the Hue Tap, you don’t need the hub to make it work.

There’s currently no word on whether the Click will be exposed to HomeKit via the Hue Bridge, but considering many HomeKit owners are also Hue users, for some this may be a worthy purchase regardless.

Senic provide a starter kit with two Nuimo Click switches and a Nuimo hub for $229 and beavailable in December.
