Philip Hue to Release Warm White E14 Bluetooth Bulbs

Hot on the heels of the news of the forthcoming Philips Hue range of Filament style bulbs, the company are now getting ready to release more lighting as part of their new and updated ZigBee+Bluetooth range. As first reported to us by Jo Schneider from Smartlights.de, the new warm white E14 bulbs, simply labelled as ‘White’ on the packaging, follow on from the recent release of their updated A19 and BR30 bulbs, in Colour & White Ambience, White Ambiance and White, that can use both Zigbee or Bluetooth for control.

Hue already makes the E14 in Colour & White Ambience and White Ambiance, but this will be the first time they’ve made the baseline warm white models for this size of bulb, which would be fixed at 2700K. These updated bulbs will apparently give off around 250lm at 5.5W with an estimated lifetime of 25,000 hours, which is in line with the current generation.

It would seem that at launch, these bulbs will be available in single and double packs, with a rough estimate price of €20 and €35 respectively.

Thanks to Jo Schneider for the information.
