The QingPing E-Ink Temperature Sensor Now Available in Amazon Stores
QingPing isn’t a name many people are going to be familiar with, but they are the very company behind a lot of Bluetooth-based devices for Xiaomi’s own Smart Home ecosystem, and last year released their very first E-Ink sensor. Earlier this summer the company went one step further and released a HomeKit version of the aforementioned product, also using Bluetooth (BT5.0) and whilst it was initially only available from Chinese online stores like AliExpress etc, it has now finally surfaced on many regional Amazon stores, including the US.
As already mentioned, it uses E-Ink technology to give a far superior display, as can be seen in the comparison image above, which shows the first-generation product that uses LCD. The sensor itself measures both temperature and humidity and can be set to either ºF or ºC, so it’s good for our US visitors.
Currently is available on Amazon.com for US$24.79, Amazon.co.uk for UK£18.99, Amazon.ca for CDN$42.29, although there’s a CDN$3.00 coupon available, and Amazon.de for just €21.59. It may well be listed on other EU based Amazon stores.

The brand in Europe appears to be sold under the name Homidy (not QingPing, Xiaomi, Mjia, Mi, nor ClearGrass — the Chinese are completely crazy with the duplicate brands BTW this is some sort of psychological disorder syndrom IMHO)
BTW price has increased at amazon.de to €24.98

As usual, price in France (where yet the VAT is almost the same, only one point higher) is over 17% more expensive: €30.16
https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B07X1YDCNS/
*sigh* an economic disorder syndrom this time LOL
The product is nowhere to be found on amazon.com however
BUT the most important is that there is no mention of HomeKit in the Amazon version, and no HomeKit logo whatsoever… are you sure the EU version is HomeKit compatible?
Here’s a link to the sensor on Amazon.com – https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HWNWKNV/
The German and U.K. links in the article are both for the HomeKit version which is mentioned in the description. They also mention that it’s the H version, with the M version only being suitable for Mi Home.
