Sensibo Introduce Siri Compatible Air Purifier

Sensibo, a company some readers may be aware of for their smart AC Controller, the Sensibo Sky, has launched their newest product, the Sensibo Pure, a Smart Air Purifier. Before you rush out to buy it, however, be aware that it is not HomeKit compatible, at least not officially. It does, like its AC controller sibling, work with Siri (Siri Shortcuts), meaning you can control various aspects of the device via Siri Shortcuts, whether that’s directly via the Shortcuts app, or via voice control using Siri on your iPhone, iPad, iPod, HomePod, or HomePod Mini.

With that ‘disclaimer’ out of the way, the new ‘Pure’ does also work with Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant, as well as the Sensibo app and, will be selling for a very reasonable ‘early bird’ price of US$129.00, before going up to the regular price of US$199.00 once it’s shipped on February 15th. The air purifier is cable of cleaning rooms of up to 73 ft²  (16 m²), or with the company’s Pure Boost technology, up to 294ft² (27 m²), with the filter lasting around 6 months with typical usage.

In terms of size, it’s not quite as large as many standard air purifiers, coming in at just 7.68” x 7.68” x 15.28” (195mm x 195mm x 388mm), which is about 2/3rds the height of the Vocolinc’s HomeKit compatible air purifier, but does tackle much the same list of pollutants, including Viruses, Bacteria, Mold Spores, PM1/PM2.5/PM10, Pollens, Smoke & Odours, Dust, and Airborne particles down to 0.1um, which is achieved with a “3 phases filtration system: Pre-Filter, HEPA Filter and Active Carbon Filter”.

It uses the standard 2.4GHz Wifi to connect to your network but also uses Bluetooth LE 4.0 for some reason we’re not aware of at this time. It’s also universal, with it being able to use 100-240V electrical input at 50/60Hz, although in the company’s FAQs section, it states “We ship worldwide and support any power voltage or frequency. If you are shipping to another country and need a different power plug, please write us the country’s plug under ‘Special Instructions’.”

You can find more information on how to buy this product from the Sensibo website.
