Eve Cam Officially Unveiled for CES 2020

Eve have officially unveiled their latest product today, just a day after a couple of images were released online. Simply dubbed the Eve Cam, this new device in the German company’s line up of devices, will be shipping in April of 2020.

First off the bat, the good news is that it will be compatible with HomeKit Secure Video (HSV), which will soon become the measure of good HomeKit cameras and merely passable ones. Eve hasn’t said a lot more about this product, but Reddit user u/jphorn posted the following specs on the r/HomeKit sub;

  • HomeKit Secure Video exclusively (no other cloud storage possible)
  • 150-degree swivel mount
  • Wifi 2.4GHz and 5GHz
  • 1080p / 24fps
  • infrared night sight sensor
  • attachable via magnetic stand
  • 122 x 65 x 60 mm

We hope to be able to test this camera soon after it gets released, and although the camera does resemble some older cameras, the fact that it’s both HSV compatible, and can use 5GHz wifi are all great bonuses.
