Eufy Unveils Robovac and Deep Cleaner w/ Matter

Eufy hasn’t been very forthcoming with HomeKit integration in the last few years, but with Matter taking hold they’ve started to come around. Case in point their recently released cameras that offer Apple Home integration after years of not doing so (note, Matter still doesn’t support cameras or doorbells), and now a new combined robot vacuum and ‘deep cleaner’ with Matter compatibility.

The Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E28 offers a regular robot vacuum of the kind we’ve become accustomed to, as well as being housed in a self-cleaning station. This station is also home to a portable deep cleaner, that can be detached and carried around where the robovac can’t reach, like the surfaces of a sofa, for example. Obviously, this is going to have to be manually operated, but having an option to have both a smart vacuum and a deep cleaning tool in one spot, is going to save space and also a bit of cash.

Even the best robot vacuums can’t tackle ultimately deep seated stains within carpets, which is where the extra tool in this package comes in to help. It takes on this task with the handheld brush, that sprays water into the fabric, thus loosening the dirt particles, which are then sucked up by another part of the brush’s nozzle. That said, the robot vacuum itself can still tackle wet messes on hard floors as well as vacuum dust and hairs, as standard.

The robot vac itself offers dual side brushes that spin to collect dirt and debris, along with a roller brush at the back to tackle wet messes and general floor cleaning alike, offering 20,000Pa of suction. LiDAR is also a part of the system, offering smart dirt detection, obstacle avoidance and navigation capabilities, as you’d expect.

Like many robot vacs that come with a base station, this can also self empty both dirty water, dust and hair, as well as refill the unit with clean water for subsequent wet cleaning.

The E28 is also Matter compatible, so Apple Home users (and those on other Matter compatible platforms) can add this to their smart home setup and include it in scenes and automations, as well as control it via Siri and Siri Shortcuts.

Here are some of the features;

  • HydroJet™ System: Equipped with a Dual Water Reservoir and a dual-scraper structure, E28 cleans the mop in real-time, ensuring it stays fresh throughout the cleaning session.
  • FlexiOne™ Portable Deep Cleaner: Industry’s First Detachable Portable Deep Cleaner – Integrated into the Omni Station to tackle every mess, from carpets to stairs and other fabric surfaces.
  • 20,000 Pa Turbo Suction: E28 delivers professional-grade deep cleaning on both carpets and floors. It effectively removes even the deepest dust and hair, leaving your home spotless.
  • DuoSpiral™ Detangle Brushes: DuoSpiral™ Brushes prevent hair entanglement and reduce maintenance frequency, providing a hassle-free cleaning experience.
  • CornerRover™ Arm: CornerRover™ Arm ensures 100% edge coverage for seamless cleaning.
  • All-in-One Station: With self-emptying, self-washing, hot air drying, automatic detergent dispensing, wastewater collection, and self-refilling, you can enjoy a hands-free experience.

The Omni E28 is available to (pre)order direct from Eufy’s own website, priced at an impressively priced US$999.99. Before you do, you should check out George Langabeer’s video review of this device below;
