Leviton Decora Smart Light Switch and Dimmer Firmware 1.4.13 Update Release Notes
After releasing their first firmware update for their Decora Smart line of HomeKit enabled light switches and dimmers just over a week ago, the company has provided to us the release notes for this update:
1.4.13 Firmware HomeKit
– Improved dim/bright bar functionality for enhanced control of low lighting levels
– Added Diagnostic Mode for support
– Addresses unique scenarios that could result in the switch being unresponsive on network
– Incorporated KRACK vulnerability prevention
– Miscellaneous process and interface enhancements
Leviton also wanted to share with our community that they are committed to providing support for their products, and they want to help users with any issues that they may have. As such, the company wanted to share that their support email for the HomeKit line is DSSupport@leviton.com, and that they hope to hear from those that recently voted in our poll that they still were having issues.
Switches are trash. Have five of them in my home of which none of work reliably in spite of extensive troubleshooting. Had completely given up on them other than as a dumb switch.
Recently upgraded my Wi-Fi access points to Orbi mesh for a blistering 170m and factory resent all switches.
All switches work using the Home app and Leviton app however when trying to install the firmware update I get the message that the 3 of accessories unavailable and wont do the firmwear update. Multiple factory reset’s of the switches and my Wi-Fi have not helped.
I’m sad to say that they are a waste of money. I upgraded my Router thinking it was the problem. They never stayed connected after the firmware update. Prior to that the switches had to be added over and over again. I switched to Lutron with the hub. That’s the best thing. Return them if you can and just spend the extra $5 to $10 for each switch and get Lutron. You’ll be happy you did.
I have 6 of these and have had no issues after the update. Before the upgrade, multiple issues.

Hi Bob, thanks for letting us know. Some are reporting problems, but generally it seems that the update has either fixed or improved issues for most people.
Can’t update the firmware. Says its available but doesn’t download
The firmware update is not with us yet, but should hopefully be with us within the next few days, although I’m only guessing at this point.
