New Vocolinc Device to be Announced at CES?

We’re only a few days away from CES 2020, considered to be one of the most important electronic shows of the year, and as such, we’ll no doubt see a lot of new unveilings and announcements. At present, it would seem that Shenzen-based Vocolinc, notable for their Flowerbud smart Diffuser, are set to show off not only their recently announced VAP1 Air Purifier but another new device, although at present we have little in the way of information on it besides a couple of screenshots showing a partial image, that only briefly appeared on their site.

From what we’re able to gather right now, it would appear to be a humidifier of sorts, and as with all Vocolinc devices, this is bound to be joining the company’s lineup as another HomeKit compatible product. As the images we gathered only show the top half of the device, all we can see is an opening, in the shape of a dewdrop, along with a tank, which in the image below appears to be illuminated. So from this, it would seem to be fairly similar to the company’s Flowerbud device, albeit it with a much larger tank.

In the image above, you can also make out mist emitting from the top of the device, lending further credence to it being some form of humidifier. If this device is presented at 2020, it’ll be yet another addition to the company’s ever-growing list of products, all of which are also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Nest (Google Assistant), with the exception of their T-Guard Smart Lock, which exclusively with HomeKit. As is the case with Flowerbud still being the only HomeKit Diffuser on the market, this device will also be on its own in the ‘humidifier’ category for HomeKit that we’re aware of, although Habitat announced their own humidifier, which has yet to see the light of day after originally surfacing over 15 months ago.

Aside from this, we fully expect to see the VAP1 making its official debut at CES, after the company sent out a teaser email to their mailing list earlier this year. The specs for this device have yet to be released, but we do know it’s also HomeKit compatible.
