New Customisable Air Purifier From OneLife

German Startup OneLife has unveiled their first major product today, the PureOne; an air purifier not only designed to do the job of cleaning the air you breathe in the home but also blend with your furnishings.

But besides looking pretty, the company claim there’s plenty of very interesting tech going on inside to convince you that this is where it’s at with smart home design in the home. The company uses what they describe as;

“PureOne’s plasma technology [which] removes smaller particles and ultra-fine dust more efficiently than any other purifier on the market. And there’s no need to replace the filter – ever.”

The company go on to say “…Built for smart households and workplaces, PureOne’s proprietary technology features a revolutionary, patent-pending plasma filter that creates high filtration performance at low ventilator speed. This innovation results in silent air purification that saves energy by operating on a fraction of the electricity required by other air purifiers, with no harmful ozone emissions. Instead of replacing filters every few months, the PureOne filter system can be rinsed or run through a dishwasher and reused.

Pretty amazing stuff. In fact, the company go on to claim that their PureOne Air purifier can remove particles smaller than PM2.5, going down to PM1.0 particles.

The top of the design comes in wood, with built-in touch-sensitive LED controls, and whilst the design is different, it may not be to everyone’s taste, so the air purifier can be customised with the top panel texture is available in six different wood finishes (Ash, Maple, Oak, Cherry, Walnut, and Palisander) and six different shades of grey for the surrounding fabric body (Snow White, Sharp Sand, Dusty Wind, Shark Grey, Wild Dusk, and Dark Knight).

The dimensions for the unit are 55cm/21.65in tall (including the legs), 52cm/20.47in wide and 20cm/7.87in deep. Noise levels are 25dBa in Silent Mode, 35dBa in Auto Mode, and 55dBa on full power. The unit weighs around 6-7kg/13-15.5lb, presumably depending on the wood finish chosen.

Whilst the company don’t exactly claim on their website the PureOne will work with Apple HomeKit, they do state that it will work with ‘Apple Siri’, which most likely mean Siri Shortcuts. That said, we have located an image from the company that does state “OneLife PureOne air purifier works with Apple’s HomeKit”, so who knows!
