Sengled Bridge with Apple Homekit

The Sengled Smartbridge is one of those products that I’ve been looking at for a while. There’s nothing particularly special about this bridge, to be honest. It’s Zigbee. It supports Apple Homekit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home, as well as Samsung Smartthings and IFTTT. Just like many of the other bridges on the market.

The thing I love the most about this bridge is that it’s not special. It just works. It does what you expect it to do at a great entry price and, honestly, isn’t that the most important thing?

Will it expose the third party devices to HomeKit too?

It is a Zigbee 3.0 hub, so in theory you should be able to add other Zigbee 3.0 devices, although it would probably also depend on the firmware knowing what to do with devices that aren’t part of Sengled’s range, so a switch might not be recognised as a swtich as such.
