Smartmi P1 Air Purifier Launches on Amazon.com [U]
You may not have heard of Smartmi, at least until recently, but they are the company behind a lot of Xiaomi branded products to do with air and air quality, whether that’s a standing fan, a humidifier, or an air purifier. Now the company have launched their first HomeKit enabled air purifier under their own brand, namely the P1. This product was discovered back in February when the company launched their app, which requested HomeKit access, followed by an initial launch via the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform, which has been very successful, so now the company want to make it official with the launch of the P1 on Amazon.
Available in two finishes, the Smartmi P1 actively monitors and cleans the air around the home by trapping 99.97% of the particles that pass through its filter. Its powerful air purifying technology can cleanse a 200 sq. ft space in 10 minutes. Sporting a sleek, minimalistic design in a compact frame, the P1 can be placed anywhere in the home and fits into any home decor.
Smartmi enhanced the proven HEPA Filtration technology used in the P1 to be three times more effective than traditional HEPA filters. Compared to 300 Nanos from other HEPA filters, the Smartmi P1 is able to trap particles as small as 80 Nanos, blocking 99.97% of particles that pass through its filter. Thanks to the 360° air inlet and a top air outlet, Smartmi P1 absorbs pollutants and blasts clean fresh air to every corner of the room with 150 ft³/min CADR. The Smartmi P1 can clean the air in a 180 sq. ft space in 10 minutes, and 320 sq. ft in just 20 minutes, making it perfect for bedrooms and apartment dwellers.
Plants make a great addition to any home, but while they can enhance any living space, they can also bring unwanted surprises – including pollen. The Smartmi P1 is equipped with a dual laser particle sensor that detects both pollen and PM2.5. Most purifiers are only able to detect and purify according to smaller particles such as PM2.5, but studies show that particles like pollen are actually PM10 and are often overlooked by purifiers. Using Smartmi P1’s dedicated app, users can receive a comprehensive analysis of their current air quality in the home while the P1 uses that data to adjust the fan speed automatically with Auto Mode. Clean air doesn’t need to break the bank, which is why Smartmi has made filter replacements easy and affordable. Replacement filters start from US$39.99 and provide clean, healthy breathing from 6 months to 12 months. Users can choose between two filters based on their air quality needs. The Pollen Crusher is a certified H13 True HEPA filter that traps harmful particulate matter and allergens like pollen. The Odor Absorber focuses on making the home smell fresh, eliminating household odours and harmful chemicals using a combination of the H13 True HEPA filter and a carbon-infused filter.
Whether consumers use Amazon’s Alexa, Google Home, or Apple’s HomeKit, the Smartmi P1 can easily communicate and work with all the latest smart home technology. Users can communicate with their preferred voice assistant to receive real-time air quality alerts and remotely control the P1 from the comfort of their couch.
